"UAC" underrated hero of Windows Systems.

IF YOU ARE A WINDOWS OS USER THEN YOU HAVE SEEN THIS UAC . STILL LET ME GIVE YOU A QUICK REMINDER.

you must have seen this !

UAC ( User Account Control) is a security feature of windows to help prevent unauthorized access of any problem to your computer. It comes into action when some program or software try to get  the admin access or try to access admin directory. So it ensures that the changes in admin directory are going under your approval.

IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS AS A GUEST USER UAC WILL ASK FOR PIN/PASSWORD TO GIVE ADMIN ACCESS TO SOME PROGRAMS.

In the above pic the user was running as diff user other than admin. so the UAC asked for password to provide access.

HOW UAC WORKS?

Must be clear by this pic !

WHICH ACTIONS TRIGGERS UAC?

1.

2.  Running an app as administrator

3.Changes to system-wide settings or files in the Windows or Program Files folders

4. Installing and uninstalling drivers & applications

5. Viewing or changing another user's folders and files

6. Adding or removing user accounts

7. Configuring Windows Update

8. Changing settings to the Windows Firewall

9. Changing UAC settings

10. Changing a user's account type

11. Running Task Scheduler

12. Restoring backed up system files

13. Changing the system date and time

14. Configuring Parental Controls or Family Safety

15. Installing ActiveX controls (in Internet Explorer )

SHOULD YOU DISABLE UAC?

Disabling UAC is as same as disabling your anti-virus!

if the UAC is disabled any malware , trojans , virus , keyloggers etc etc,
will easily access your admin access and then
1. They will access your computer data.

2. Your saved password! once they have password they have your privacy!

3. They can record you and your voice through your voice and cam . because you have disables UAC no will give you warning that your cam and mic are in use.

I think this much example are enough  to show the importance of UAC!

DON'T DISABLE YOUR UAC !
